MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a home support and domestic cleaning service of high quality and standard to clients aged 50+ living throughout Dyfed in their own homes, when they are no longer able to maintain their home to the desired standards.
- Deliver services to meet the client’s needs at an affordable cost.
- Perform general housework such as vacuuming, dusting, polishing, mopping floors, cleaning baths, showers, toilets, inside windows and spring‑cleaning.
- Handle laundry work including changing and making beds, washing and ironing.
- Complete shopping duties if requested by the service user and agreed by the Byw Adref manager.
- Provide sitting service.
- Offer patient, positive encouragement to maintain clients’ independence where appropriate.
- Provide prompt, reliable, high‑quality service to clients.
- Show sensitivity and interest in the well‑being of vulnerable adults.
- Work independently and as an effective team member.
- Report any concerns regarding clients to the Manager.
- Attend training and information sessions as decided by the Manager.
- Comply with all Safeguarding, Health & Safety and Fire Regulations.
- Notify the Manager immediately when unable to carry out services to clients.
- Provide a medical certificate for illness lasting more than 7 days.
Salaries will be paid monthly.
Travel expenses may be paid if the employee must travel over 5 miles from home to visit a client or between clients. Travelling will be paid at 45 pence per mile for every excess mile over 10 miles, round trip. Travel time is paid between clients. You must make the journey viable to warrant expenses being paid.
