Established in 1928 by Eleanor Rathbone, Age Concern Liverpool & Sefton (ACLS) has been protecting and promoting the well-being of people over 50 years of age in the area. With nearly a century of experience working with older adults in Liverpool & Sefton, ACLS experts understand community needs and deliver impactful services.
Job Summary: ACLS is looking for an experienced and values-driven leader to guide the charity through a key period of review and development, ensuring continued delivery of meaningful support for older people across the Liverpool City Region. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the CEO will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring sustainability, effectiveness and alignment with the mission. The role includes leading a review of how ACLS can best deliver services in the future, including potential partnerships and new models of delivery. The CEO will oversee performance, financial planning, governance and risk management, while representing ACLS with partners, funders and stakeholders across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery and development of ACLS's strategic direction
- Advise the Board on governance, risk and charity law
- Oversee financial performance, compliance and organisational effectiveness
- Build strong partnerships with statutory, voluntary and community organisations
- Lead and support the Senior Management Team
- Champion equality, inclusion and the voices of older people in shaping services
