*About the Relief Support Worker Role:*
The main responsibilities of a Relief Support Worker are:
* Provide support and personal care for those with physical frailty and/or dementia during the day, including meal times
* Assist in the delivery of the activity programme and person centred activities when directed, including running small groups and individual activities
* Provide a person centred and holistic approach when working with Service Users
* Build positive relationships with Service Users and their carers/families
* To be part of a team and work with and support other team members
* Support service users on and off the mini bus.
*To be successful as a Relief Support Worker you will have:*
* Previous experience of caring for older people
* An understanding of, or willingness to learn, the support needs of those living with dementia
* A caring, compassionate and person centred approach
* Excellent communication skills
* An understanding of the importance of being reliable, hardworking and honest
The role is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Β£12.21 per hour
