AGD Innovations have 2 sectors within the business, AGD Renewables and AGD M&E. Due to a secured portfolio of work, we have an exciting opportunity for an additional Electrician with at least 1 year post qualified experience working as an electrician to join our team based in Gilford, Northern Ireland on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be part of the installation and support team within AGD, working in both sectors of the business.
The role will include:
- Installing high end solar and energy storage systems in both domestic and commercial scenarios
- Electrical wiring, inspecting and testing of commercial properties
- Electrical maintenance support within commercial facilities
- Control panel design, build and repair
- Process Automation
AGD is a family run business and this is an exciting role which offers the correct candidate a key position within the business. The successful candidate will have a wide range of proven experience, a good work ethic and a desire to continue progressing their career.
Position Responsibilities:
- Installation of high end solar and energy storage systems
- Electrical installations, commissioning, inspecting and testing
- Control panel design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and repair
- Process automation installation, commissioning and troubleshooting
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Post installation customer support and troubleshooting
Essential Skills and Requirements:
- NVQ level 3 qualified or equivalent
- C&G 2391 Inspecting and Testing
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations or equivalent
- Ability to read electrical drawings
- A proven history of electrical installations with inspecting, testing and fault finding
- An ability to work within a team or individually
- Strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise with changing situations
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
- An awareness of general Health and Safety regulations
Desirable Skills and Requirements:
- Renewable energy experience
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year post qualification electrical experience
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
Hours of Work: 5 day week Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 1pm. Hours/days may vary during site installations and follow up support.
