This role will manage the VAT return submissions and reconciliations and be responsible for the timely submission of the assigned legal entities VAT returns (including corresponding payments to local authorities), completion of tax returns and payments as well as the related balance sheet account reconciliations for VAT and Tax, intrastat reporting, EC Sales and other regulatory reporting required locally. The role will be responsible for the preparation and submission of regulatory and compliance reports and coordinating with tax advisors and regulators to file tax returns. The role will also support the preparation of statutory reports and coordinate audits.
Your Impact:
- Complete assigned entities VAT returns (including monthly, quarterly, bi-monthly and annual) and corresponding preparation of paperwork for payment. No late or misâfiling penalties.
- Prepare the related balance sheet reconciliations for VAT and Tax and prepare the related journals to clear the balance sheet reconciling items.
- Complete intrastat reporting and other statutory and regulatory reporting. Key point of contact between the business, tax team and local authorities.
- Establish and manage strong relationship with tax team, external auditors, external tax advisors and other key stakeholders.
- Supporting the manager with common processes, and other ad hoc projects to drive efficiency and quality improvements within team.
Your Experience and Qualification:
- 2-5+ years' experience in VAT returns, Intrastat reporting, EC Sales and other regulatory reporting.
- Hold a relevant tax or equivalent accounting qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Must have practical VAT experience in an advisory, tax authority and/or industry role.
- Must have experience in preparing and/or reviewing VAT returns and an understanding of overseas legislation/requirements.
- Dealing and managing stakeholders remotely.
- Capable of working independently with strong attention to detail.
