Role Overview

A vacancy has arisen in Business Process Outbound. The role is responsible for the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of business systems and applications that support AGCO’s aftersales of commercial activity. The role holder will possess a thorough understanding of aftersales operations and demonstrates strong experience in software development, database design, and the delivery of in-house solutions. The role combines technical development with business analysis, requiring the ability to work directly with stakeholders to translate operational requirements into robust, maintainable systems. Given the nature and scope of the role, strong project management and communication skills are essential.

Your Impact

  • Lead and contribute to the development of aftersales business systems using C# and SQL Server, including REST API development and Blazor-based front-end interfaces.
  • Collaborate with business users and internal stakeholders to gather, analyse, and translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Design and implement SQL Server database solutions, including table schemas, stored procedures, triggers, and SSIS packages for ETL processes.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and front-end components using Blazor, applying clean, maintainable, and testable code practices.
  • Integrate data from multiple enterprise systems, including SAP S/4HANA, IBM mainframe, and cloud platforms, into SQL Server.
  • Translate user specifications into actionable project plans, prioritising work effectively when faced with competing demands and limited resources.
  • Apply an understanding of business benefits, technical effort, and strategic priorities when determining delivery order, with reference to the Management Team’s focus areas.

Your Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in T‑SQL development, including stored procedures, triggers, and complex query logic.
  • SQL Server database design, including schema creation and maintenance of reliable, scalable structures.
  • Performance tuning and optimisation, including analysis of execution plans and improvement of query efficiency.
  • Design and implementation of ETL processes using SSIS.
  • Experience with C# across .NET Framework and .NET Core / .NET.
  • Development and support of RESTful Web APIs using clean, maintainable, and testable code practices.
  • Data access using Entity Framework and Dapper, selecting the most appropriate approach for performance and maintainability.
  • Front‑end and UI development using Blazor, with a solid understanding of HTML and CSS.
  • Proven ability to translate business and operational requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving application, data, and integration issues across complex environments.
  • Experience working with enterprise system integrations across multiple data sources.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritise effectively, balancing business benefits, technical effort, and strategic objectives.
