AGC Partners is a global technology investment bank focused on middle market M&A and growth equity financings for emerging growth companies. Our transactions range in size from $25 million – $1 billion. This position is a mix of business development and research.
On the business development side, you will responsible for identifying growth-stage companies, as well as researching and identifying key trends within the emerging technology market place in order to actively source potential clients for AGC. Along with managing and maintaining AGC’s Partner pipelines and reporting directly to the CEO, the BDA will also assist in creating and launching bi-weekly sector and sub-sector overviews within the greater technology market that have been identified as areas of high growth.
On the research side, you will oversee all content initiatives to drive the firm’s marketing efforts, as well as work collaboratively with the banking team to drive new leads and engagement with current clients. We are looking for individuals that are passionate about technology, up-to-date on industry news and the latest M&A transactions. With the help of the Partners at AGC, who are domain experts with deep sector knowledge, you will create in-depth reports on the hottest new technologies to be distributed to thousands of executives and investors across their respective industries. These reports cover the key trends and challenges in the market and include a listing of recent M&A, private placement, and IPO activity.
Further responsibilities include:
- Generate leads by utilizing direct marketing strategies to our extensive existing database, as well as research to find new opportunities
- Conduct deep dives into top PE and VC portfolios to identify sell- and buy-side opportunities for AGC
- Build sector and sub-sector overviews including: market overview, market map, past transactions, and potential targets.
- Coordinate launches to relevant CEOs using a tailored cadence for maximum exposure
- Maintain records of contacts, accounts, leads, and opportunities in CRM database (Salesforce)
- Writer, editor and content strategists; possess best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style
- Develop and maintain standards, systems, templates and best practices to keep content at a cutting-edge level
- Leverage market data to develop content themes/topics with the help of the Partner get to the thesis of what the report should cover, as well as finding third-party research to support the thesis
- Create Transaction Screens and find Transaction Comps to highlight the activity within the respective sector/space
- Build Market Maps and Technology Landscapes and other content as needed across all sectors and sub-verticals of technology
- Work well within a fast-paced dynamic environment with a high sense of urgency
- High level of comfort leading conversations and preparing presentations, marketing materials
- A motivated and tenacious individual with a passion for sales and to uncover/overcome objectives
