As a Compliance Engineer, you will support the Lab Manager by ensuring that product approvals are current and compliant with the latest international standards. This role involves managing third-party products to ensure all data is up to date to place on the market, which could include testing the products to verify the data that has been shared.
Responsibilities:
- Create product risk assessments.
- Understand and develop test plans according to required standards and legislation.
- Maintain internal test verification methods in line with the latest approval standards.
- Review third-party data to support new product introductions.
- Interpret third-party test reports to identify covered products and any outstanding data needed.
- Maintain databases to support products and accompanying data.
- Develop technical presentations for supporting evidence on the samples.
- Liaise with suppliers to request the required information.
- Create technical files in accordance with product legislation.
- Sample inspection and testing to verify products in line with expectations.
- Create and maintain data/energy labels, product codes and packaging related items.
- Create and maintain instruction manuals.
- Define spares list and maintain.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure the products are released on a timely basis.
Essential Requirements for Candidates:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, or related experience.
- Proven experience (>3 years) in engineering in a product compliance role.
- Able to read engineering drawings and schematic diagrams.
- Able to plan work to balance conflicting priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong understanding of Product legislation requirements (LVD, GAR, etc) including international requirements.
- Able to interpret and understand test standards.
- A self-starter that can work autonomously.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment where variants are high and lead times are short.
- Regular travel between sites (Long Eaton Site).
