Responsibilities
- Perform risk assessment and deliver planned care to all assigned patients with minimum supervision.
- Assist in procedures such as insertion of Central Venous Catheter (CVC), A/Line, chest drain, wound and stoma management according to hospital guidelines.
- Provide basic hygiene care and monitor hemodynamics including invasive (CVC and arterial line) monitoring.
- Manage all assigned patients including ventilated patients.
- Monitor I/V fluids and fluid management.
- Ensure timely documentation as per defined protocols and standards.
Requirements
- An Intermediate in any discipline along with Matric in Science (Pre-Medical) background preferably at least one year of related experience in a reputable health care organization.
- Diploma in Critical Care Technician or Nursing Technician with a reputable hospital (Preferred).
- Completed Nursing Technician training course at AKUH or any other reputable institution.
- Certification in Basic Life Support and Intravenous Cannulation.
- Good communication skills and ability to handle work pressure.
- Willingness to work in shift duties.
