We are currently seeking a Workshop Operative for our client based in Reading. This is an ongoing, temporary position with an immediate start, offering a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and grow within the company.

Details:

  • Shift: Sunday night – Thursday night (last shift starts Thursday night and finishes Friday morning)
  • Hours: 18:00 – 06:00 (with a 1-hour unpaid break)
  • Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour + £18.00 per hour overtime
  • Potential Weekly Earnings: £690 before deductions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, prepare, and build wooden products to the highest standards.
  • Operate various machines and tools to cut, prepare, and assemble components.
  • Ensure work meets quality standards, identify potential issues, and propose solutions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by cleaning work areas, machines, and equipment.
  • Report equipment or facility issues promptly.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Basic DIY skills.
  • Experience with woodwork is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
