A&G Resourcing Ltd is recruiting a Factory Operative for our client based just outside Reading. This role supports the production of high-quality timber packaging used across various industries. This position is within the timber/wood section, so previous experience working with wood is essential. Own transport is ideal due to the location.
Location: Outskirts of Reading
Pay: £13.00/hour (increase after 3-month probation)
Overtime: £19.50/hour
Start: Immediate
Hours:
- Mon–Thurs: 08:00–16:30
- Fri: 08:00–15:30
Main Duties:
- Assist with daily timber packaging and manufacturing operations
- Work with wood and timber materials
- Operate and maintain machinery (full training provided)
- Cut, assemble, and handle timber products
- Manage stock and incoming materials
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow all health & safety procedures
Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience working with wood/timber (essential)
- Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment
- Good attention to detail
- Machine operation or DIY/carpentry skills are advantageous
- Reliable, hands-on, and willing to learn
