We are looking for an experienced Housekeeper to join our team at The Embassy Hotel, Gateshead. The role requires someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, while occasionally supporting other departments when needed. This position involves physically demanding tasks that require strength, stamina, and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cleaning tasks to maintain the cleanliness of the hotel
- Clean and sanitise dining areas, including tables, chairs, and countertops
- Empty rubbish and recycling bins and ensure proper disposal of waste
- Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate department or supervisor
- Follow all health and safety regulations and procedures while performing cleaning tasks
Prerequisites:
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to a specified weight)
- Stamina to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques
