We are looking for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at The Crown Hotel, London. The role requires someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, while occasionally supporting other departments when needed. This position involves physically demanding tasks that require strength, stamina, and strong attention to detail.
This is a key leadership role where you will oversee all departments and take full responsibility for the hotel in the absence of the Hotel Manager. Ideal for someone hands-on, highly organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Position: Assistant Operations Manager
Location: Cricklewood, North West London
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily hotel operations across Front Office, F&B, and Housekeeping
- Act as Manager-on-Duty and lead the hotel in the Hotel Manager’s absence
- Ensure SOPs, service standards, and company policies are consistently followed
- Monitor costs, control budgets, and support KPI delivery
- Handle daily financial reporting and reconciliations
- Manage staff rotas, training, and performance reviews
- Drive guest satisfaction, online reviews, and repeat business
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations
- Support maintenance and property improvement initiatives
Prerequisites:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in hotel operations (multi-department exposure)
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on management approach
- Experience with budgets, reporting, and cost control
- Familiarity with PMS systems (preferably Rezlynx)
- Good knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene
- Flexible to work weekends and shifts
