Own the finance solution, not just the config. If you’ve ever felt like you’re just configuring what’s been handed to you, ticking off requirements without really shaping the outcome, this is a very different kind of role. This is about owning Finance properly.
You’d be leading FICO across S/4HANA programmes, working directly with finance stakeholders, understanding what they actually need, not just what they’ve written down, and shaping the solution accordingly. It’s not just GL, AP, AR and Controlling in isolation. It’s how everything fits together, how it integrates with the wider business, and how it holds up when it goes live in the real world.
You’ll be running workshops, pushing back when something doesn’t make sense, and making sure the solution works both on paper and in practice. You’ll also be working closely with technical teams to make sure what’s designed is actually delivered properly, with no disconnect between design and build. And importantly, you’ll see things through: testing, data, cutover, go-live, being there at the moments where it really counts, not just the design phase.
The role is hybrid, based out of either Aberdeen or Slough. The expectation is three days a week in the office, Tuesday to Thursday, which keeps you close to the team and stakeholders while still giving some flexibility.
We’re a SAP Gold Partner working on large, complex S/4HANA programmes across industries like Energy and Utilities. There’s a strong delivery culture here, and this role is about strengthening the Finance capability within that.
If you’re ready to move beyond configuration and into real solution ownership, where your input genuinely shapes outcomes, this is your move. If this sounds like your kind of role, don’t overthink it. Apply, send me your CV, or just drop me a message. We can figure the rest out over a Yorkshire Tea.
