Are you the kind of SAP ABAP & Fiori Consultant who gets genuinely excited about making complex systems work beautifully? Do you enjoy building slick Fiori apps, solving tricky integration challenges, and being the person who can translate “business problem” into “technical solution that actually works”? If so, this could be a good one.

We’re looking for a talented SAP ABAP & Fiori Consultant to join a growing team in Slough, working hybrid with three days per week onsite, Tuesday to Thursday. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on with ABAP, Fiori, UI5, OData and SAP BTP, but also likes working with people, functional consultants, customers, end users and technical teams. You’ll be involved in new implementations, support projects, integrations, technical design and plenty of problem-solving.

In short: if you like building smart SAP solutions and seeing the impact of your work, keep reading.

What You’ll Be Getting Stuck Into

No two days will look exactly the same, but you can expect to be involved in:

  • Designing and developing technical solutions using SAP ABAP, Fiori, UI5 and OData
  • Building SAP ABAP RICEF developments — roughly up to 50% of your time
  • Creating, customising and deploying SAP Fiori applications
  • Working with modern SAP tools including Eclipse, SAP Web IDE, BAS and SAP BTP
  • Helping integrate SAP with non-SAP systems and third-party tools
  • Partnering with functional consultants to understand what the business really needs
  • Supporting both new SAP implementations and existing support projects
  • Helping end users with training, troubleshooting and best-practice guidance
  • Working directly with customers to deliver a great experience — not just technically correct, but genuinely useful
  • Supporting continuous improvement and quality processes aligned to ISO standards including ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 27001

Basically, you’ll be one of the people making sure the SAP landscape runs smoothly, looks good, works well, and keeps users happy.

What We’d Love You to Bring

We’re not looking for a unicorn, but we are looking for someone who knows their way around SAP technical development and enjoys working as part of a team. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • 3+ years’ hands-on SAP ABAP development experience
  • Strong experience with Fiori, UI5 and OData
  • Experience building at least 3 custom UI5/Fiori applications
  • Good knowledge of ALE, OO ABAP, IDocs, BAPIs and BADIs
  • Experience across at least 3 end-to-end SAP projects, including greenfield and/or brownfield implementations
  • The ability to design and build Fiori apps based on input from functional consultants
  • Experience working in Agile project environments
  • Confidence reviewing requirements, specifications, business processes and solution recommendations
  • Strong communication skills, especially when explaining technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
  • A proactive mindset and the confidence to take ownership of solution design and delivery
  • A collaborative approach and a genuine team-player attitude
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy or similar sectors would be a nice bonus, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
Why This Role Is Worth a Look

This is a great opportunity if you want a role where you’re not hidden away in the background just writing code. You’ll have the chance to:

  • Work on varied SAP development and transformation projects
  • Build modern SAP Fiori/UI5 solutions that people actually use
  • Get involved in SAP BTP and newer development tools
  • Work closely with experienced SAP professionals and client stakeholders
  • Have your ideas heard and your technical input valued
  • Join a quality-focused, customer-first environment
  • Enjoy a clear hybrid setup, Tuesday to Thursday onsite in Slough

If you like variety, ownership and a good technical challenge, you’ll probably enjoy this.

We keep things clear, friendly and straightforward:

  • Technical interview – focused on your SAP ABAP, Fiori, UI5 and OData experience
  • Director conversation – to explore team fit, working style and long-term alignment
