SAP ABAP LEAD – Hybrid (Aberdeen or Slough)

Build it properly, don’t just code it. This is about owning how things are built. Being the person who actually sets the standard, challenges the design, and makes sure what goes into production is something you’re proud of.

You’d be leading the ABAP side across S/4HANA programmes, working closely with both functional teams and the business. Not just interpreting requirements, but shaping how they’re delivered technically.

There’s a big focus here on quality. Clean builds, proper design, and making sure solutions are scalable and future-proof. You’ll be guiding developers, both onshore and offshore, reviewing what’s going out the door, and making sure standards don’t slip when things get busy.

You’ll also be involved far earlier than just the build phase. Design discussions, workshops, and challenging decisions when something doesn’t feel right will all be part of the role. And of course, seeing things through into go-live and beyond, not just stepping away once development is “done”.

The setup is hybrid, with a base in either Aberdeen or Slough. You’ll be in the office three days a week, Tuesday through Thursday, which gives you a good balance between collaboration and flexibility.

We’re a SAP Gold Partner delivering complex S/4HANA programmes across industries like Energy and Utilities, with teams spread globally. Delivery matters here, and this role is key to making sure the technical side keeps up with that reputation.

If you’ve got a strong ABAP background and you’re at the point where you want to step into real ownership, not just more tickets but more influence, this is probably the kind of move you’ve been waiting for.

Apply, message, or email me directly. No need for anything overly polished, just a conversation to start with. Yorkshire Tea optional, but encouraged.
