The AMS Practice Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic ownership of AG's SAP Application Managed Services (AMS) Service Line. You will set the direction for the AMS Practice β in collaboration with AG's Senior Leadership Team and AMS Data Leads β deciding where the practice focuses across SAP products, technologies, and project types, and ensuring it is equipped with the right skills and experience to deliver against that strategy.
You will act as the strategic custodian of the AMS Practice, owning its market presence, its forward-looking technology and services roadmap, and the commercial health of the practice, while acting as the final point of escalation for service-related issues.
This role requires a blend of SAP strategic leadership, commercial acumen, market and capability planning, and senior stakeholder management.
The practice operates on a two-tier leadership model: the AMS Practice Lead sets strategy, owns commercial performance and acts as the final escalation point, while an AMS Lead runs day-to-day service delivery, SLA/KPI performance and team operations, reporting into this role.

2. Capability & Resourcing
- Ensure the AMS Practice is equipped with the right skills and experience to deliver against this strategy.
- Manage AMS size and bench strength, ensuring the practice sustains a 20% profit margin.
3. Service Quality & Escalation
- Ensure consultancy services delivered across all AMS projects meet quality and timeliness standards.
- Act as the final point of escalation for service-related issues on projects or with clients.
4. Market Presence & Business Development
- Own the AMS Practice's presence on AG's website, ensuring offerings and success stories are accurately represented.
- Support sales and presales activity when requested.
