What we’re looking for…
We’re recruiting for an FP&A Manager to join our Corporate Finance team taking ownership of the Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, ROCE, and Projects. As our FP&A manager you’ll be responsible for driving a number of key group-wide, finance-led processes including the Integrated Business Planning cycle, ownership of periodic Balance Sheet and Return On Capital Employed (ROCE) reporting as well as supporting delivery of the Investor Relations calendar. You’ll deliver initiatives of significant breadth and scale, including business partnering our significant capital investment programme and supporting ad hoc M&A activity.
Your responsibilities will include...
- Business Performance Management
- Lead the consolidated month-end reporting, forecasting and annual budget process for the Balance Sheet and Cashflow (and associated metrics).
- Lead monthly review meetings with relevant stakeholders, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
- Own the business working capital optimisation project including ongoing tracking, idea generation, and delivery.
- Monitor Return on Capital Employed (ROCE), a key strategic measure for the business.
- Business Planning
- Lead the financial modelling for our end to end Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process to support the Senior Leadership team in the making of strategic decisions.
- Perform relevant planning, analysis and reporting activities to deliver the group’s Capital Allocation strategy.
- PLC Reporting & Investor Relations
- Prepare critical technical assessments including Viability & Going Concern and Impairment reviews.
- Support the Corporate Finance Director to deliver the business’ Investor Relations calendar and deliverables.
- Projects
- Key resource for delivering ad hoc Finance projects for the group, undertaking a variety of business focused and Finance functional projects.
- Business partner the Capital Projects team to ensure clear and accurate spend reporting and forecasting.
- Support the Head of Strategic Projects with the preparation of the 5 year capital plan and capital budget.
What you’ll bring...
- Qualified Accountant with 3+ years PQE
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge, with experience of PLC reporting desirable
- Strong financial planning and analysis skills
- Some experience of financial modelling desirable
- Project management experience preferable
- Experience of building great working relationships with Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
