We are looking for a driven National Account Executive to support the National Account Manager in building and driving performance within our Key Grocery (Major Multiples) accounts. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day commercial needs of our grocery partners, with a specific mandate to champion our Alcohol brands. You will balance the needs of the customer with overarching business objectives, ensuring our alcohol portfolio achieves optimal visibility, distribution, and sales growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with commercial ambition to learn from a senior mentor while taking ownership of specific category initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Supporting Grocery Account Plans: Work closely with the National Account Manager to deliver the Joint Business Plan (JBP) for Major Multiples. Take ownership of administrative and operational tasks to ensure the smooth running of these large-scale accounts.
- Driving the Alcohol Portfolio: Act as the internal champion for the Alcohol category (specifically Funkin). Monitor SKU performance, track distribution gaps, and work to increase the Rate of Sale for our alcohol products within the grocery aisle.
- Promotional Execution: Manage the end-to-end promotional process for the alcohol range, including completing promotional nomination forms, tracking in-store compliance, and conducting post-promotional analysis to evaluate RO.
- Data Analysis & Forecasting: Own the weekly and periodic reporting for the alcohol category. Use retailer data (e.g., Dunnhumby, IRI) to track sales performance, identify trends, and support forecasting for the supply chain.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with internal Brand, Supply Chain, and Field Sales teams to ensure alcohol marketing campaigns are effectively executed at store level.
- Building Buyer Relationships: Develop strong working relationships with junior buyers, supply contacts, and category planners within the retailer. Be the first point of contact for day-to-day queries and maintain high service levels.
- New Business & NPD: Support the sell-in of New Product Development (NPD) within the alcohol range, preparing samples and presentation decks to showcase the value of innovations to grocery buyers.
What you’ll bring...
- FMCG Experience: Previous experience in an FMCG commercial or sales support role (e.g., Sales Executive, Field Sales, or Commercial Assistant). Experience dealing with Grocery Multiples is highly advantageous.
- Category Interest: A genuine interest in the Alcohol & Cocktail market. Understanding the dynamics of selling alcohol in a retail environment is important.
- Analytical Skills: Comfortable working with data. Ability to navigate spreadsheets, analyse sales figures, and produce clear reports on brand performance.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to build relationships. Clear and confident communication with internal teams and external retailer contacts.
- Ambition to Learn: Desire to grow into a National Account Manager role. Proactive, responsible, and eager to learn P&L management and high-level negotiation skills.
- IT Proficiency: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysing data and presenting updates.
