Join to apply for the Head of Consumer Insights role at AG Barr Group. Location: Any Hub (Cumbernauld, Middlebrook, Milton Keynes or London). Contract and working pattern: Permanent, Hybrid (3 days in office), 37.5 hours.

You will uncover deep, actionable insights that shape brand strategy, product development and marketing communications, transforming data into clear narratives that inspire action across the business.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop a consumer insights roadmap, partner with leadership to answer critical business questions, and champion a data-driven, consumer-centric culture.
- Research & Analysis: Lead all research projects from start to finish—including brand tracking, segmentation, and concept testing—and synthesize data from various sources to build a holistic view of the consumer.
- Brand Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to brand teams by analyzing brand health and helping refine communications and creative briefs.
- Storytelling & Communication: Transform complex research into clear, influential insights and compelling presentations for all levels of the business.
- Management: Manage the departmental budget and key relationships with external research agencies.
What you’ll bring
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or a related field, with at least 4+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven track record: Demonstrated business benefits from insights that influenced brand strategy, innovation, or creative development and driven brand growth.
- Methodological Expertise: Deep expertise across qualitative (focus groups, in-depth interviews, ethnography) and quantitative (surveys, conjoint analysis, A/B testing, segmentation) methodologies.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and quantitative abilities with the capacity to interpret and synthesize complex data from disparate sources.
- Business Acumen: Strong commercial awareness and ability to connect insights to business challenges and strategic objectives.
- Marketing Expertise: Passion for marketing, knowledge of how brands grow, and ability to share insights with senior leaders as an internal expert.
- Strategic Influencer: Guides and shapes directions through expertise and vision, rather than managerial authority.
- Communication: World-class storytelling and the ability to influence and build consensus among senior executives and cross-functional teams.
