We’re looking for an experienced Bar Manager / Assistant Manager to join our team and help lead the bar through busy nights, keeping standards high, the team motivated and the good times rolling.
You’ll be hands‑on, visible and ready to get stuck in. From leading shifts and supporting the team to making sure guests have a great experience, you’ll play an important role in keeping the venue running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and supporting the team during busy shifts, setting the tone for great service.
- Taking ownership of the bar operation and ensuring high standards are maintained throughout service.
- Supporting the recruitment, training and development of the bar team.
- Coaching and motivating team members to help them develop their skills and progress.
- Delivering excellent guest experiences and building strong relationships with regular customers.
- Managing service efficiently during high-volume periods while keeping the team calm and focused.
- Supporting stock management, ordering, cash handling and day‑to‑day operational procedures.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, licensing and compliance.
- Working closely with the wider management team to drive venue performance.
- Getting stuck in alongside the team and leading by example.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working in a busy bar or late‑night hospitality environment.
- Experience supervising or managing a team, with the confidence to lead from the front.
- Someone who stays calm and organised when things get busy.
- Strong knowledge of bar operations, drinks and service standards.
- A natural people person with great communication skills and good chat.
- Someone with plenty of energy, a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- No ego – you’re happy getting stuck in wherever you’re needed.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests.
- Someone who enjoys a lively environment and can handle a little bit of chaos.
