AFT Fluorotec Coatings is looking for an Apprentice Coatings Technician to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with paint spraying experience who wants to develop a long-term career in a specialist engineering environment.
Working alongside experienced technicians, you'll learn how to apply advanced fluoropolymer coatings including PTFE, FEP, PFA, ETFE and Halar® (ECTFE) to components used across aerospace, defence, motorsport, oil & gas and industrial applications. Full training will be provided on all coating systems, application techniques and curing processes.
We're looking for someone with at least one year of paint spraying experience, whether that's in automotive, industrial, decorative or a similar environment. More importantly, we're looking for someone who takes pride in the quality of their work, pays attention to detail and wants to develop specialist skills that are highly valued across engineering and manufacturing industries.
The role involves preparing and applying coatings, carrying out visual quality checks, maintaining equipment and spray booths, completing production records and supporting the wider coatings team. You'll learn how to work to customer specifications, achieve consistent coating quality and understand the technical requirements behind different coating systems.
