Job Description
AFRY intends to further develop its Human Factors capability within the UK Nuclear team; which specialises in nuclear safety and reliability. The successful candidate will provide support to a range of clients, as well as leading our junior Human Factors team by taking responsibility for technical leadership and mentoring and business and commercial development. Working within a close, supportive team this role is ideally suited to a talented and experienced Human Factors engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career.
Location
The role will be based within our Warrington (Birchwood) office. There may be a requirement to travel to client sites in the UK and overseas as necessary. We operate a hybrid working model with 60% of your time spent in either the AFRY office or clients offices.
Qualifications
- 9+ years’ experience within the nuclear and defence sectors;
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject;
- Demonstrable understanding and experience of the application of Human Factors Integration & Human Factors Engineering;
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors as a Chartered member or actively working towards Chartership;
- Willingness to travel to client sites and overseas when required;
- Excellent report writing and communication / presentation skills;
- Willingness and ability to achieve UK security clearance;
- UK National / British Citizen.
