Overview

In this role, you join AFRY’s Energy Division to lead engineering projects across thermal and renewable energy. You will deliver high‑quality design outputs, conduct technical and economic feasibility work, and support project execution from FEED to operations. You’ll mentor junior engineers, drive risk‑aware decision making, and contribute to business development. The position offers exposure to cross‑functional teams, international projects, and a clear path to technical leadership within a sustainability-driven mission.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across design, analysis, and problem‑solving for engineering projects
  • Deliver and review high‑quality design outputs, reports, and documentation
  • Support construction through site inspections, testing, and risk mitigation
  • Contribute to business development and represent the company professionally
  • Mentor junior engineers and continuously develop technical expertise

Key requirements

  • Minimum 2:1 degree in mechanical or chemical engineering
  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Relevant industry experience
  • Leadership and mentoring
  • Professional communication and stakeholder engagement
  • Collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
  • Technical leadership across design and analysis
  • Experience with FEED and EPCM projects
  • Knowledge of energy transition technologies (carbon capture, green hydrogen, green ammonia, Power to X)
