Responsibilities
- Contribute to a highly motivated team of consultants on national and international projects analyzing nature-based carbon markets.
- Apply technical expertise on afforestation, reforestation, restoration (ARR), improved forest management (IFM), and soil carbon methodologies to assess carbon projects, identify risks, gaps, and value opportunities for investors and buyers.
- Work with project developers to improve project assumptions and design.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses for complex projects.
- Create presentations and reports to communicate findings.
- Regularly present findings to national and international clients in meetings and workshops.
- Collaborate effectively within project teams, offices, and internationally.
Qualifications
- Very good academic degree in Forestry, Agriculture or Natural Resource Management; early-career professionals from other fields with strong passion for voluntary carbon markets, carbon credit lifecycle and carbon integrity principles are also highly welcome.
- Experience in forest inventory design and/or soil carbon sampling (e.g., in internships).
- Strong analytical skills and an appetite for tackling complex challenges.
- Attention to detail and ability to draw structured conclusions from data; proficient in MS Office; additional skills in R or Python are a plus.
- Proficient in English and able to explain and structure complex information clearly to a range of audiences.
- Self-motivated, business-oriented, able to meet budgets and deadlines.
- High enthusiasm for constantly changing challenges and ability to work well with others.
