We are looking for graduate engineers who want to contribute to the energy transition and a sustainable future as part of AFRY Energy’s thermal, renewable, and nuclear businesses.
The AFRY Future Energy Graduate Programme will accelerate your interest and development in the energy industry. We will give you the opportunity to gain insight into different parts of our engineering consulting business and the wider energy market, while supporting your development as an engineer in your field. We will give you the best possible start to your working life, including clear focus on the benefits of networking.
The Programme will guide you into your new professional role as an engineer and at the same time you may participate in projects for our clients. You will also be a part of the AFRY Future Programme, which will be structured to provide you with development opportunities in the field of energy, and the skills you’ll need as an engineer at AFRY.
Together we will create tomorrow’s engineers and ensure the development of competence to support the climate transition.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have a BSc or MSc in a relevant Engineering subject along with a strong interest in the energy sector demonstrated in their application.
You will have an interest in engineering project development and delivery, such as renewable or thermal power plants with exposure via an internship or work experience, clearly stated in your application.
You should be fluent in English, have strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a willingness and openness to work in a variety of roles.
You will have opportunities to work away from your home office on UK projects or for training requirements for extended periods of time or abroad involving short stays.

Being part of AFRY Future Graduate Program means that you get a solid and broad introduction to the energy industry, and that you also get to be part of a large and experienced global engineering group. You will be supported by our experts who can best train and mentor you in your role as an engineer as well as provide valuable knowledge and insight into the wider energy market.
During the program you will participate in a broad programme of development and training areas such as customers & sales, project management, engineering at AFRY, inclusion & diversity, and more detailed technical engineering training more closely aligned with your chosen specialist area.
You will be a part of an initial 9 month global graduate development programme in which you will contribute to developing sustainable energy production for the future. There will be many opportunities at AFRY after you have participated in the AFRY Future Energy Program, including ongoing technical consulting, project management, and progression to leadership roles. You may also have opportunities to travel, potentially participating in development programmes in other locations, or to work on projects overseas.
