What are we looking for?
Experience Strong IT and digital literacy Experience running training sessions Strong organisational, interpersonal and inclusive communication skills The ability to manage both time and workload Can teach IT skills like setting up emails, google software navigation, Microsoft teams and online systems, using QR codes, Google events, Eventbrite setup, using MS system etc Must be based in West Yorkshire β Leeds or environs Are patient, empathetic, and have strong communication skills. Are passionate about helping others and bridging the digital divide. Can commit to a regular volunteer schedule. Responsibilities Conduct one-on-one or small group IT training sessions on basic digital skills, such as using smartphones, tablets, computers, and essential software. Assist community members in setting up and using email accounts, social media, and other online services. Educate individuals on online safety and privacy practices. Provide guidance for accessing online resources related to education, employment, health, and social services. Key Deliverable Enable community members to become self-sufficient in using digital technologies. Success will be measured by the number of individuals who complete training and report improved confidence and competence in their digital skills. What will you be doing?
Role Description As a Digital Inclusion Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in bridging the digital divide within our community. Your primary responsibility will be to assist individuals who face barriers to accessing and using digital technologies effectively. This includes providing one-on-one support, training, and guidance to help community members gain confidence and skills in using digital devices and navigating the internet. YOU MUST BE BASED IN LEEDS. Key Deliverable Train and empower community members to become self-sufficient in using IT and digital technologies, ensuring they can independently access online services and resources. This will be measured by the number of individuals who successfully complete training sessions and report increased confidence in their digital skills.
