Are you an experienced teen's coach, or passionate about making a huge difference in the lives of teenagers in the UK? If yes, we would really appreciate your help and would be interested in talking with you.

What difference will you make? We run workshops for children ages 11 - 18 years to help develop their social and emotional intelligence skills. As a children coordinator with Afrikindness, you will help to create the image of Afrikindness seen and understood by the community we serve. You will be a role model and help to advance our work with young people thereby contributing to our mission.

What are we looking for?

  • Facilitate regular Teen academy sessions or workshops that will build their social and emotional skills.
  • Represent Afrikindness globally in all children-related events.
  • Experience in working with teenagers in any capacity such as teaching.
  • Experience in delivery of programs, planning workshops, and comprehensive knowledge of the issues and developmental needs of black children.

What will you be doing? We are looking for a Volunteer Mentor & Teen Coach to support us with developing and delivering our teen leadership activities. This is a part-time voluntary position, reporting to the Board of Trustees.

Do you have the passion, experience to engage teenagers in structured activities and counsel teens on a range of personal issues, challenges, and emotions? If yes, we would really appreciate your help and would be very interested in talking with you.
