Afrikindness seeks an Education Specialist to join the Executive Board, supporting the development and delivery of education projects in the UK and overseas. As an educator, you will help shape Afrikindness's public image, raising awareness of mental health challenges children face, fostering empathy, combating bullying, hatred, racism, and promoting intentional kindness across young people.
What you will do:
- Develop KS1, KS2, and KS3 curriculum that promotes positive racial identity development and cultural awareness.
- Support UK and global teams with research and administration for education initiatives.
- Coordinate teachers and content writers for project launches across the UK and Africa.
- Represent Afrikindness at global education events.
- Collaborate with the CEO, Board of Trustees, marketing & training consultants, and the research team to create data‐backed, visually compelling teaching resources.
Key Skills:
- Experience developing curriculum for KS1–KS3 and educational content on kindness.
- Proficient in CASEL/SEL frameworks.
- Strong understanding of ethnic minorities' experiences in the UK and advocacy for inclusive education.
- Experience creating training content for UK teachers.
- Experience building relationships with external stakeholders (e.g., DFE).
- Background in education sector – teacher, educator, or specialist.
Essential:
- Excellent communication and engagement skills for recruiting new teachers.
- Ability to establish and maintain internal and external partnerships.
- Knowledge of schools' and young students' social and emotional needs.
The ideal candidate:

- Senior management experience in education.
