- Experience working with families, parents, or in a caring/support role (professional or lived experience valued)
- Understanding of the challenges facing families, particularly those from diverse or marginalised communities
- Warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach
- Ability to build trust and rapport quickly
- Culturally sensitive and committed to inclusive practice
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable working independently while staying connected to the team
What will you be doing?
- Provide compassionate, non-judgmental coaching to parents via phone, video call, or in-person sessions
- Listen actively to parents' concerns and help them identify their strengths and goals
- Guide parents in developing practical strategies for managing family life, behaviour, and communication
- Signpost families to relevant community services, resources, and support networks
- Maintain confidential records of coaching sessions in line with safeguarding and data protection policies
- Participate in regular supervision and training sessions with the volunteer coordinator
- Contribute to impact evaluation by collecting feedback and outcome data
