Africell, the pan-African mobile telecommunications company, is recruiting a HR Manager to be based in London, UK. Proficiency in either French or Portuguese is essential, as the role requires effective communication across diverse regions.
Strategic HR Support & Business Partnering
- Support the Group Chief People Officer in executing HR strategy across African markets
- Partner with local HR teams and business leaders to align people initiatives with business goals
- Translate Group HR frameworks into practical, locally relevant solutions
End-to-End HR Delivery
- Support and oversee the full employee lifecycle (recruitment, onboarding, performance, development, offboarding)
- Provide hands-on support and advisory to local HR teams on complex HR matters
- Ensure consistency in HR policies, processes, and reporting across markets
- Drive HR operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Drive change management initiatives across markets
- Support employee engagement programmes and culture-building initiatives
Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding
- Support local and regional recruitment strategies to attract top talent
- Ensure alignment with Group recruitment standards and processes
- Partner with local teams to strengthen Africell’s employer brand
- Monitor recruitment metrics and drive improvements
Performance & Talent Management
- Support the rollout and adoption of performance management frameworks
- Drive a high-performance culture through coaching and guidance to managers
- Support talent reviews and development planning across markets
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues across different jurisdictions
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and Group policies
HR Projects & Systems
- Support implementation and optimization of HR systems and tools
- Contribute to regional HR transformation and improvement projects
- Monitor HR metrics and provide insights to support decision-making
