A Big 5 luxury lodge in Greater Addo, Eastern Cape is seeking a motivated and professional Chef de Partie to join their kitchen team.
The successful candidate will assist with the daily kitchen operation, preparing high-quality meals to luxury lodge standards while maintaining excellent food quality, presentation, hygiene and consistency.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar kitchen position
- Luxury lodge, hotel or safari experience advantageous
- Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Understanding of luxury hospitality and presentation standards
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Reliable, professional and well presented
- Passionate about food and hospitality
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
- Comfortable working and living in a remote lodge environment
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and cook meals to lodge standards
- Assist with daily kitchen preparation and service
- Maintain consistent food quality and presentation
- Assist with breakfast, lunch and dinner service
- Prepare meals for special occasions and guest requests
- Cater for dietary requirements as required
- Maintain excellent kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
- Follow food safety and health standards
- Assist with stock rotation, storage and portion control
- Minimise food wastage
- Keep workstations clean and organised
- Assist senior chefs with menu preparation and service
- Ensure kitchen equipment is used correctly
- Work closely with the kitchen and lodge teams
- Remain hands-on and assist wherever required
PACKAGE:
- Salary: R6,000 – R8,000 per month
- Live-in accommodation provided
- Meals provided
