The African Business Trade Association (ABTA) is seeking experienced professionals with publicly listed company (PLC) or state-owned enterprise (SOE) board director, C-suite executive or government minister experience in African markets to join our Advisory Board.
Ideal candidates have:
- Proven expertise in African business sectors including infrastructure, energy, real estate, healthcare, financial services, technology, agriculture, manufacturing or trade
- Active networks across institutional investors, project developers or government stakeholders
- Track record of mobilising capital or leading substantial African operations
Current Advisory Board includes senior executives from World Trade Center Utah, Standard Bank Group, Government of Zambia and major African financial institutions.
Role: Voluntary Advisory Board position providing quarterly strategic guidance on business development, capital mobilisation, sector development and policy engagement. Virtual participation. Candidates may be based anywhere globally.
About ABTA: UK-based pan-African business association mobilising private capital for African development. Recent achievements include hosting the October 2025 Africa Trade Forum (keynote: Lord Dominic Johnson) and publication of "Africa's Circular Economy in Action" research.
