The ARM internship programme offers practical work in one of ARM's priority areas. In addition to helping you understand the mandate, programmes, and key areas of the Organisation, it also enhances your theoretical knowledge with relevant work assignments that can help prepare you for your future career. You will be called upon to express your talent in one of ARM's sectors and its various activities. You may also be employed full-time as part of our internal project fulfilment.
Who can apply?
- You have completed high school or an equivalent before the start of the internship/volunteering;
- You are pursuing higher education (university degree, master's, or equivalent) at the time of application;
- You have obtained a university degree (as described above) within the last 12 months.
Candidates for secretarial/assistant internships or technical/professional internships must be in a secretarial school or a specialised technical/professional institution and must be in their final year of study or have graduated from this school or institution within the last 12 months.
What requirements must you meet to apply for an internship?
- Age: You must be at least 18 years old to apply.
- Languages: You must have an excellent command, both written and spoken, of English and/or French. Practical knowledge of another language (English or French) may be required for missions in certain programmes.
- Computer skills: You must have an excellent knowledge of computer systems and office software.
- Team spirit: You must possess a team spirit and be able to adapt to an international work environment.
- Communication skills: You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.

The duration of an internship/volunteering is generally between 2 and 6 months, renewable. Internships/volunteering at ARM are unpaid. However, there are compensations, financial or otherwise, for internship missions. Even if you are eligible, there is no guarantee of placement.
