Our exclusive client based in Skelmersdale are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant with CIMA or ACCA study support. This business has grown steadily over the past few years and needs a strong assistant to support the FC. The role has a clear progression opportunity to being the management accountant.
Duties include:
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
- Preparing month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and depreciation
- Reconciling key balance sheet accounts and investigating variances
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Producing management reports and financial analysis
- Managing credit card and expense processing, ensuring compliance with policy
- Representing the finance team at weekly project meetings
- Assisting with year-end audit preparation
This development role would suit someone who is AAT Qualified or who is in their earlier stages of CIMA/ACCA and looking to grow into the management accountant. The client would also consider someone who is qualified by experience.
To be considered for this role you need to have excellent communication skills, be able to work to deadlines whilst managing different tasks, be a good team player and have a strong attention to detail.
