Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their busy accounts team. This financial services company is looking for someone with solid accountancy experience who loves a challenge, enjoys implementing change and thrives on being busy.

Responsibilities

  • Sole responsibility and main point of contact for the purchase ledger
  • Gaining the correct authorisation for invoices to ensure agreed payment terms are adhered to
  • Prepare and process payment terms
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements and resolve any invoice or payment queries
  • Review and process employee and directors’ expenses
  • Process and reconcile company credit card transactions
  • Create and post sales invoices for internal and external business services
  • Provide support at month end to the wider finance team

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you need to have previous accounting experience ideally from within a varied role with a strong purchase ledger bias. You must have strong attention to detail and have a high level of accuracy. Someone who is IT savvy and is a strong Excel user would also suit.

Benefits

In return you will receive a competitive salary with 28 days’ holiday plus bank holidays (36 days holiday), be offered hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 from home), work a 35 hour week (9-5 with an hour for lunch), and be offered an excellent pension and bonus scheme.
