Job Description
This company supplies specialist equipment to industrial customers, offering a broad product range, in house maintenance services and support with meeting industrial regulations. By providing a bespoke service to every customer they are able to project manage requirements and ensure a high degree of loyalty and repeat business.
As part of their growth plan a new vacancy has been created for a Finance Manager. The role will work closely with the FD and will provide broad finance, operational and commercial exposure.The position would suit someone with a proactive approach who wants real involvement in decision making in an SME, you will work closely with colleagues to understand the products and services, challenge processes and look to introduce more efficient ways of working that drive insight and profitability. This undoubtedly will be a very broad role, where key responsibilities will be:
Lead and develop a small finance teamEnsure the accurate reporting of the Companies financial and management accountsPrepare Management Information for monthly meetingsKPI analysis and development of operational performance metricsAssisting with budgeting and forecastingLiaise regularly with customers and suppliers, negotiating terms where appropriateDevelop controls and processes to maintain the company's systems and analyse riskManage Payroll, BIK, Bupa scheme, Staff Health Scheme,Monitor external contracts and services to ensure effectiveness and fair value.Ensure compliance with banking requirements and Asset Finance.
To be successful in this role you must have a commercial mindset and experience of the wide variety of finance duties in an SME. The position would suit an experienced Management Accountant looking for more responsibility or a Finance Manager looking for a new challenge. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and influence change under the guidance of an experienced FD. The role will be office based and will provide a good development opportunity.
Strong people skills will be essential as you will be working at all levels in the business, a good grasp of business systems and accountancy software will also be important as a potential upgrade could be on the horizon. Suitable applicants must be CIMA / ACCA part or fully qualified and looking for a genuine opportunity to play a major part in driving a business forward.
