Location: The Lister Hospital

Hours: Permanent. Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Monday – Saturday, 5 days per week, early or late shift.

We are looking for an experienced Surgical Care Practitioner to join our Operating Theatre department and support our Da Vinci robotic program at The Lister Hospital. The Lister Hospital has been offering world-class healthcare and treatment in the heart of Chelsea in London for over 30 years and has received an ‘Outstanding’ rating from the CQC. We have 4 Theatres, specialising in Orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, general and colorectal surgery, IVF, ENT, head and neck, thoracic and spinal surgery.

What will you do:

  • Provide high quality surgical care assistance and support to the theatre team and consultants
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team ensuring a high standard of nursing care and patient safety within the theatre department
  • Utilize expert clinical skills and knowledge in the support of the robotic service line at the Lister Hospital
  • Utilize evidence based practices to guide clinical practice

What you will bring:

  • Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner (Essential)
  • MSc, PG Cert, PG Dip Surgical Care Practice
  • Strong Robotics, Urology or Gynaecology Experience Required
  • Registration as a healthcare professional (e.g. nurse or ODP) with a related honours degree
  • Recent experience in theatre nursing
  • 2-3 years experience working as a Qualified Surgical Care Practitioner.
  • Log Book (Essential)
  • An aptitude for clinical and operative practice
  • The ability to effectively manage the clinical area on a day to day basis and plan ahead.
