The Senior Creative Artworker is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of all printed creative assets for Molton Brown across every physical customer touchpoint, including POS, marketing collateral, and packaging. Working closely with the Creative Director and wider Creative team, they help establish and maintain creative standards while ensuring the highest quality of artwork delivery.
In partnership with the Senior Manager, Creative Operations, the Senior Creative Artworker manages the team's workflow through Smartflow, coordinating projects and stakeholders across Molton Brown's global markets to ensure efficient delivery and consistency across all outputs.
What you will do:
- Lead and manage the team in both their professional and personal development so that they feel motivated and supported with clear objectives.
- Be responsible for ensuring that they have clear workplans and are confident in what they have to deliver.
- Management of all print briefing, working with brief holders to form a clear brief and assign the brief on the create workflow in our online brief management software.
- Developing designers' concepts through to finished print-ready artwork for campaign POS artwork, marketing materials and packaging, delivering them on time and on brand.
- Presenting artwork to key stakeholders, articulating reasoning behind typographic and creative decision-making while capturing their feedback and subsequently applying it.
- Organisation and management of the pack shot briefing and budget ensuring that photography is delivered according to business needs with the appropriate reviews and sign off.
- Leading on process improvements that make the team more efficient and allows the team to deal with a growing workload in a manageable way.
What you will need:
- Design-related degree or demonstration of relevant experience in packaging and global campaign POS artwork.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating sound artworking experience across packaging and print (specifically including large suites of multi-channel retail POS).
- High quality retouching skills.
- Experience of working for a luxury brand with proven organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail and a broad knowledge of print processes.
- A team player ideally with previous line management skills or studio management experience. Eight plus years of experience needed.
- Working with lots of internal and external partners; this role is for someone who is a true team player and great at managing different relationships, managing photographers, retouchers and brief holders exceptions to deliver the brief.
- Demonstrate experience of, or the ability to lead a successful team while managing a heavy & fluctuating workload.
- Must demonstrate the ability to easily adjust personal & team priorities in line with business needs.
- Must have an excellent understanding and experience of print pre-production and print processes as well as reprographics and setting artwork to printer's specifications.
- Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
