Lead and support the end-to-end 3D design process across all Molton Brown SAS and Partner environments. From concept development and spatial planning to visualisation and the production of fully detailed technical drawing packages, you will translate creative ideas into build-ready solutions. Your work will enable seamless internal and external approvals, support the tender process, and ensure manufacturing precision—delivering exceptional quality and accuracy at every stage of construction.
What You Will Do
- Space plan store/concession layouts for review and development.
- Propose store front elevation/signage solutions for development to ensure adequate external brand representation.
- Prepare relevant planning drawing package if required.
- Create detailed VectorWorks drawing packages for new stores and concessions to include GA plans, sections, details, interior and exterior elevations and electrical, lighting and flooring layouts.
- Develop detail drawings for new or revised units.
- Maintain knowledge of architectural and design principles, keeping up with changes in regulations and sustainability requirements.
- Problem solve when design issues arise. Visit sites before and during works to gain first-hand experience of site requirements and issues.
- Work with international partners to aid their problem solving.
- Assist the Retail Design Manager in developing new store concepts, material samples and solutions, liaising with suppliers on solutions.
- Work cross-functionally with VM, Property, Retail, WS & Distributor teams to ensure projects are fit for purpose and communicated effectively.
- Ensure drawing schedules are submitted and updated with each drawing submission. Meet drawing submission dates within the store opening programme through good time management.
- Maintain well organised drawing folders for easy navigation.
What You Will Need
- Relevant Degree (BA/BSc) e.g. Interior Design, Product Design, Architecture.
- 3+ years experience.
- Excellent VectorWorks 2D & 3D, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Microsoft Office knowledge on a Mac platform.
- Knowledge of architectural and design principles are required in order to make informed design decisions which should be guided by the brand philosophy at all times.
- A portfolio that demonstrates the ability to design new as well as refurbished international luxury retail spaces.
- Understanding of design in luxury sector and on site experience, dealing with various contractors and third parties companies.
- Ability to communicate effectively to work cross-functionally between departments and with external contractors/suppliers.
- Understand the principles behind a consistent brand experience and a memorable and engaging customer journey.
- Understand and apply current rules and regulations in the field of store design.
- Flexibility to travel within UK and some limited international travel.
