Our partner provides essential audit services to large institutions worldwide, including the United Nations and the World Bank. The specialist team works closely with global clients, delivering and managing international development grant-funded programmes. This long-established, diverse, and multilingual team are leaders in this field.
You will be proactive and able to manage your tasks independently, while also collaborating and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and partners to enhance our services. You will identify opportunities to improve delivery and expand services offered to our clients.
Our team collaborates with UN agencies, the European Commission, Foundations, and other Development Agencies involved in international development. We provide assurance services such as financial and systems audits, certifications, internal control assessments, technical assistance, and consultancy services to international institutions.
This role is central to our department\’s work. As an Audit Senior, you will lead meetings with institutions and beneficiaries, coordinate and oversee audit teams during fieldwork, and draft audit reports. You will represent the organization in person, leveraging your language skills before multiple stakeholders, including international development agencies and partners.
International travel of up to 40% may be required depending on assignment needs. You will perform remote audits, managing teams both on-site and virtually. This role offers an in-depth understanding of the development sector and the activities of international donors. Fluency in English and German is required. Your responsibilities include:
- Preparing tailored plans for assignments based on terms of reference and contractual conditions
- Leading opening meetings and presenting audit findings clearly at closing meetings
- Leading fieldwork teams during overseas assignments or working independently
- Identifying issues and non-compliance, documenting findings clearly in reports
- Leading larger country-wide teams as the client focal point
- Delivering work within deadlines and managing time effectively
You should have:
- A professional accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- A strong interest in international development and a passion for travel
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and German
- Ability to liaise professionally with internal and external stakeholders
- A proven track record in audit and assurance work
