We are seeking a proactive individual who can manage tasks independently and collaborate effectively with senior managers, directors, and partners. The role involves identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and expand our offerings.
The team works with UN agencies, the European Commission, Foundations, and other Development Agencies, providing assurance services such as financial and systems audits, certifications, internal control assessments, technical assistance, and consultancy services.
As an Audit Senior, you will lead meetings with institutions and beneficiaries, coordinate audit teams, and prepare audit reports. You will represent the organization with multiple stakeholders, including international development agencies and partners, leveraging your language skills.
This position requires international travel (up to 40%) and remote audit management, overseeing teams on-site and virtually. You will gain in-depth knowledge of the development sector and international donor activities. Fluency in English and French is essential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing tailored plans for assignments based on terms of reference and contractual conditions
- Leading opening meetings and presenting audit findings clearly at closing meetings
- Managing audit teams during fieldwork, including local staff and solo assignments
- Identifying issues and non-compliance, documenting findings precisely
- Leading large country-wide teams as the client focal point
- Delivering work within deadlines and managing time effectively
You should have:
- A professional accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
