About the Role

In brief, the position of MEWPS Engineer involves:

  • Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), services, LOLER inspections, repairs, and manufacturer updates, and maintaining the corporate image of our fleet of rental machines.
  • Attending breakdowns on customer sites.
  • Accurately recording all necessary checks using a company-issued PDA, following company procedure at all times.
  • Communicating effectively with the engineering team and hire office to make sure that the depot maintains maximum machine availability.

We would welcome applications for this MEWPS Engineer role with the following skills: mobile engineer, engineering, NVQ level 2, plant maintenance, communication, diagnostics, PDI, servicing, LOLER inspections, repairs, and powered access.

  • You must hold an engineering qualification (ideally in plant maintenance) – minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
  • Be competent in electro/hydraulic systems.
  • You will be experienced in fault-finding/diagnostics.
  • You will be working closely with customers and colleagues, so you must be able to communicate professionally.
  • You must be able to prioritise tasks in an ever-changing, demanding hire environment.
  • A valid IPAF Operator licence/certification is required.
  • A valid CAP licence would be desirable.
