About the Role
In brief, the position of MEWPS Engineer involves carrying out pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs), services, LOLER inspections, repairs and manufacturer updates, and maintaining the corporate image of our fleet of rental machines. You will attend breakdowns on customer sites, accurately record all necessary checks using a company‑issued PDA following procedure at all times, and communicate effectively with the engineering team and hire office to ensure maximum machine availability.

Requirements
- You must hold an engineering qualification (ideally in plant maintenance) – minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
- Be competent in electro/hydraulic systems.
- You will be experienced in fault‑finding/diagnostics.
- You will be working closely with customers and colleagues, so you must be able to communicate professionally.
- You must be able to prioritise tasks in an ever‑changing, demanding hire environment.
- A valid IPAF Operator licence/certification is required.
- A valid CAP licence would be desirable.
