Overview
AFI‑Rentals is one of the largest powered access companies in the UK.
We are seeking a Pre‑Delivery Inspection (PDI) Engineer to join our Rothwell depot.
Full training will be provided, with a staged salary increase as training progresses.
Responsibilities
- Carry out pre‑delivery inspections, servicing, repairs and manufacturer updates on our rental machinery.
- Accurately record all checks using a company‑issued PDA, following company procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the engineering team and office staff to maximise machine availability.
- Support other parts of the business as required, such as operating machinery on‑site.
- Schedule
45 hours per week, Mon‑Fri, with overtime as required.
Qualifications
- Eagerness to learn and develop new engineering skills.
- Interest in mechanical/electrical equipment; formal training will be provided.
- Hardworking, committed and a team player.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Flexibility to support other areas of the business.
