Purpose

In this role you will be an integral part of the Investment Services team, reporting into the Investment Services Manager and providing assistance to the Portfolio Managers to ensure the delivery of high‑quality services to our Financial Advisers and clients. You will be responsible for processing tasks such as withdrawals, Bed and ISAs, Death Claims and general client maintenance, as well as cash position monitoring for client accounts across all service propositions. Also providing support and dealing with medium‑risk queries.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring client requests are correctly processed and completed within the agreed SLA
  • Helping with processing deceased accounts and death claims
  • Developing new methods of carrying out existing tasks in order to increase efficiency
  • Updating any new changes to model portfolios on provider platforms
  • Cash reporting for low and high cash for a number of providers excluding AFH Direct
  • Processing Bed and Isa’s on various platforms
  • Being a point of contact for consultants, members of the business and the team
  • Ensuring all completed instructions and transactions match and are fully documented in line with laid‑down procedures to provide appropriate audit trail and accountability
  • Monitoring and maintaining accurate diary management and record keeping processes to ensure appropriate activity audit trails are maintained in line with the firm’s compliance standards
  • Maintaining a clear understanding of the concept of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) and how AFH Wealth Management seeks to comply with this FCA requirement

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of the Financial Services Market and Investment Products
  • Relevant operational procedures knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Pershing’s Nexus, XPlan and Nexus Complete Software Systems preferred as well as other providers used
  • Knowledge of TCF Principles and GDPR and how they apply to the individual role
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills
