This is an opportunity to join Solidus Trusts as a Trust and Estate Planning Consultant. This is an office based role, based from our Stevenage office. The role is varied and involves supporting both inbound and outbound client enquiries, as well as assisting with the delivery of estate planning solutions and structures. There is strong potential for career progression for the right candidate who is keen to further develop their knowledge and expertise within Estate Planning and Trusts.
Previous experience within financial services, legal services, paraplanning or another regulated industry would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a solid technical understanding of estate planning frameworks.
Responsibilities- Liaise with financial planners and other stakeholders as required
- Develop and grow revenue opportunities from both existing and prospective clients
- Support clients by identifying suitable planning solutions and opportunities
- Provide coaching and technical guidance to internal staff
- Handle and resolve technical queries relating to Trusts, Estate Planning, and Inheritance Tax (IHT)
- Manage case administration and oversee a busy helpdesk support service
- Assist with strategic planning relating to the use of Trusts
- Recommend and implement improvements to procedures and systems where appropriate
- Produce internal and external technical bulletins and communications
- Ability to support the end client directly
- Review and check final document drafts for accuracy and quality.
- Strong working knowledge of Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning
- Excellent time management skills with the determination to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Organised, proactive, and goal‑oriented approach to work
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team, while also being comfortable working independently
- Confidence in understanding complex planning solutions and explaining them clearly and simply
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to business growth and revenue development
- A solid understanding of Trust frameworks.
