Affordable Granite Surrey is a leading solid stone fabricator based in Charlwood, Surrey, specializing in creating high-quality kitchen worktops, bathroom vanity tops, and barbecue tops. Our services include full template, manufacture, delivery, and fitting, as well as manufacturing according to customer-supplied measurements on a supply-only basis. We work with natural stone (granite), engineered stone (quartz), and porcelain, ceramic and sintered stones.
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Stone Worktop Mason based in Charlwood, Surrey. The day-to-day responsibilities include shaping, cutting, and finishing stone materials such as granite, quartz, and Dekton to create customized worktops and other stone installations. Additional tasks may involve handling and assembling stone products, reading blueprints or customer specifications, and ensuring high standards of craftsmanship in all projects.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in worktop masonry, including measuring, cutting, polishing and installing stone components with precision
- Experience in working with NC controlled machinery
- Specialist skills in Stonework, encompassing the use of natural stone, engineered stone, and innovative materials like Dekton
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow project specifications accurately
- Physical capability to handle heavy materials and equipment safely
- Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred; however, training can be provided
This role is primarily based in our well-equipped workshop and you will need your own transport to get to the factory in Charlwood near Gatwick every day. Affordable Granite are founder members of the Worktop Fabricators Federation, drive to follow best practice for safe fabrication of Stone.
