Role Description

This full-time on-site Custom Fitter role is based at the Affordable Golf store in East Kilbride.

The Custom Fitter will work directly with customers to assess their game, perform detailed club fittings using launch monitor technology, and recommend equipment that suits individual swing characteristics, skill levels, and budgets.

Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting fitting sessions, explaining product features and benefits, providing after-sales support, and ensuring accurate adjustments and specifications for clubs.

The role also involves maintaining fitting bays and equipment, collaborating with PGA professionals and sales colleagues, processing orders and trade‑ins, and contributing to a welcoming, customer‑focused store environment.

The Custom Fitter is expected to stay up to date with current golf equipment trends and brand offerings to provide informed, impartial advice.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of golf equipment, club fitting principles, and current products across major brands.
  • Experience using launch monitors or similar golf technology (e. g., Game Changer, Flight Scope) to analyze swing data and performance.
  • Proven customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information in a clear, approachable manner.
  • Sales or retail experience in a sports or golf environment, including handling transactions, trade‑ins, and after‑sales support.
  • Attention to detail and manual dexterity for club adjustments, measurements, and accurate recording of fitting specifications.
