Role Overview

We are seeking an Advanced EDU Transmission Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and validation of next-generation Electric Drive Unit (EDU) transmission systems. Working within an Agile engineering environment, you will contribute to innovative electrified powertrain projects from concept through to prototype development and testing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop EDU transmission concepts, CAD models, and engineering drawings using 3DX CATIA.
  • Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and support technical reviews.
  • Manage requirements and validation activities, including test case development.
  • Support prototype procurement, build activities, and supplier coordination.
  • Analyse test data and generate technical reports.
  • Investigate and resolve engineering issues using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and Six Sigma.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical component design, ideally transmissions or driveline systems.
  • Experience working in a project-based engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of CAD tools (preferably 3DX CATIA).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with Electric Drive Units (EDUs) or electrified powertrains.
  • Understanding of systems engineering and requirements management.
  • Familiarity with prototype development and product validation processes.
